These are from Tuesday, May 1st 2008 in San Francisco, CA - May Day. If you got here directly, you might be interested in the main index page for this report.
There weren't huge numbers of Truthers there, and I didn't pay much attention to them, but it wasn't too hard to pick some out when I looked through the pictures.
Again the combo immigration/war stuff. (ICE in this context is basically what we used to call the INS - it's immigration and customs enforcement).
Lots of signs had this text. It's both a safety lecture and a political statement!
There was a big longshoremen strike in 1934.
Notice the shirt - Communist iconography but he's promoting a Democrat. There were a ton of people with identical Young Workers United shirts. They're sort of a quasi-union support organization for constumer service types, which they define in such a way to include waitresses - so the picture is basically a waitress member holding up a Communist star. The back of the shirt says something like "Take the man out of manager" which made no sense (anti male? anti adult?) until I saw it with emphasis on their website - "Take The Man out of manager". They're almost like a parody of 60s counterculture - love them!
Wobblies.
I always find the random changing numbers on these signs interesting.
Here you get the owner of the Nixon sign - notice the t-shirt. "I'm already against the next war." Smug, much?
Bolshevik sign - I was happy to see this. At some point this is like stamp collecting - I have a truther, and a Che shirt, but where are the Bolsheviks...
More Bolsheviks - you always find them together.
